H2 HE-PERS: Hybrid / Electric Drivetrain for Personal Mobility Vehicle

The project aims at the assessment of hybrid electric range extender propulsion systems for future powersport applications. The hybrid vehicle will be mainly powered by a pure electric powertrain and for the range extension an internal combustion engine is used. This research is mainly driven by the attempt to reduce CO₂ emission and future legislation regulations as well as customer demands, keyword “zero emissions zones”.

• Knowledge about future legislations and customer needs.
• A definition of requirements and specifications for future concepts.
• Knowledge about CO2 reduction potentials for different range extender concepts and operation strategies.
• Knowledge of the impact of zero CO2 fuels on hybrid structures.
• Virtual Layout and packaging studies of appropriate architectures
